Who can take part?
We want to include inspiration from as many people aged 50+ as possible.
What do we mean by creativity?
Our A-Z of creative ageing celebrates creativity in its widest sense- it could be artwork, poems, images of stage
productions, carnivals, choirs, or book recommendations, scripts, music, sculpture, a museum, historical house,
jewellery you’ve made, woodwork you’ve constructed, musical instrument you play, clothes you’ve designed… if it
has brought positivity into your later life then it could inspire someone else to have a go too.
Where will the stories be shared?
By uploading you creative images and text, you are agreeing for them to be used on our social media platforms and
through our extensive local networks, for those who are not online. We will only use your content to inspire people
to get creative. We ask for your name and a password to avoid this website from attracting spam marketing- we will
not use your information for any other purpose. Please be assured that your name and e mail address will not be
displayed with your entry, all listings are anonymous
When will this happen?
Images and text will be collected between now and the end of May 2023. The content will be shared for up to 12
months (until the next festival).
Why are we doing this project?
Research shows that creativity is important at every age but it can be more challenging later in life for a lot of
reasons. This project focusses on what can be done in later life, as inspiration for those who might feel its not
for them or they can’t take part anymore. This project was designed by our National Creative Ageing Lived
Experience Network- all members are aged 50+.
